The universe as it is known moves forward in time from one moment to the next. However, Albert Einstein's theory of relativity suggests that the universe is actually a four-dimensional block where all moments in time exist simultaneously. This means that a moment 10 minutes from now is 'happening' just as this moment right now is happening, and the perception of time moving forward may simply be an illusion experienced by consciousness. Psychic phenomena occurs because the block universe allows for certain information regardless of when and where to coexist with consciousness. In order to perceive information from a four-dimensional block universe, practitioners must expand their awareness into a 4th dimensional state. This sate of consciousness can recognize information coming from an ultra-dimension; a resource the brain usually filters out but is always naturally present.

This ultra-dimension is an infinite matrix of energy and information that projects the universe into existence as a simulated reality and acts as a medium for consciousness to perceive the block universe in some way. To better understand this dimension, imagine finding yourself in a theater watching a 3D movie of your life from beginning to end being projected onto a screen. In this unique space you can zoom in anywhere in the movie, look into your past, or view your death simply by rewinding and fast-forwarding. When a person detects four-dimensional or psychic information, it is because of an intrinsic link between the ultra-dimension (you in the theater space) and the block universe (the movie being experienced). Nonlocality is a quantum physics concept that can be used to describe this omnipresent connection with all things enabling anyone in a particular state of mind to detect psychic information to some extent.

The ultra theory works on the premise that an aspect of consciousness is naturally a 4th dimensional entity that utilizes biologics to create for itself the illusion of a 'present' moment, while the absence of biologics is when spirit phenomena can manifest. In order for this 4D consciousness to experience the flow of time the brain shapes a coherent 3D reality using mechanisms such as selective filtering, a function which screens incoming neural input including psychic and spirit phenomena.
